Propak is committed to a successful Safety Management Program that strives to protect our employees, property, customers, contractors and the public. Propak's policy is to promote a safety culture that focuses on continuous improvement of safety in the workplace with a goal to achieve zero accidents or injuries.

  • Green Hard Hat Program for new workers in the shop environment
  • Extensive hazard assessment program which includes Individual Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA's)

Safety Department's Mandate

  • Liability risk management on behalf of Propak's owners, managers, supervisors and clients
  • Claims management in order to reduce claims costs

  • Keeping policies and procedures ahead of legislative changes
  • Remaining in step with our clients safety requirements

COR = WCB + ACSA + OHS

Propak upholds and promotes their responsibilities and accountabilities to the various legislative bodies such as OHS (Occupational Health & Safety), WCB (Workers Compensation Board) and Alberta Transportation to all who work or who are in contact with Propak personnel whether on site in our head office locations or at a client's worksite.

Partnership in Injury Reduction (PIR)

  • Partnership in Injury Reduction (PIR)
  • A partnership between Workers Compensation Board (WCB) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) in order to develop the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program
  • Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) is our partner
