All cylinder heads go through a
rigorous 12 step rebuilding process to ensure the best quality
finished product:
- Chemical hot tank to remove oil, paint, carbon and scale
- Glass bead blast to remove any remaining debris
- Magnetic particle inspection for cracks
- Pressure test for leaks and cracks
- Surface grind cylinder head face
- Ream guides and measure for correct fit
- Precision machining of insert seats
- Quadra jet chemical final cleaning and rinse
- Test valve springs and replace as required
- Lapping of valves to insert seat
- Vacuum test valve seat to valve face
- Paint and tag for identification
