Procurement
Propak has a dedicated procurement team working closely with
project engineers to identify and source critical materials early in
the design stages of a project. Working with an established global
network of over 2000 OEM vendor relationships, Propak's commodity
based buyers and full time expediters work to ensure best pricing
and delivery to meet client project requirements.
Material Management
Propak offers a full range of procurement services including
management, buying, material coordinating, commodity inventory
control, desk expediting, shop inspection and logistics planning.
Propak's buying power combined with
global sourcing capabilities, enables buying leverage that is second
to none. Furthermore, Propak will:
- maintain vendor alliances, OEM agreements and
recommend other procurement measures to minimize
costs and improve supply chain efficiencies
- purchase, track and receive materials in a "JIT"
environment coinciding with operations fabrication scheduling
program
- electronically and physically monitor $29
million worth of commodity inventory
- provide a dedicated work force of more than 50
employees with extensive material handling
experience, planning, executing, and control of the
flow of materials
- evaluate potential new suppliers through a
vendor qualification process and manage existing
vendors using a report card system
- prepare and ship completed packages to jobs site
while ensuring all required shipping and customs
documents are completed
