Propak Systems has entered the field of Gas Compression projects in addition to it’s existing line of Gas Processing Products. Propak manufactures, services and leases compression systems for the production, processing of natural gas. For more than 23 years, Propak has been supplying quality oil and gas production equipment worldwide to the energy sector. Now Propak Compression combines this vast experience with a core group of Gas Compression experts, and together we are able to offer a wide range of gas production and compression equipment. From Low HP Gas Boosters to some of the world’s largest reciprocating gasfield API-11P compressors, Propak offers gas compression units in the size range of 50 HP to 6000 HP, in single or multi-stage applications. The services involved are as follows:
Propak maintains a stock of Gas Compressors units, which range in size for 200 HP to 1700 HP for the purposes of sale, rent or lease. By providing this service to the gas producers in Western Canada, it provides the opportunity for new gas developments to be brought, to market in a very short period of time. Demand for gas compression equipment is increasing as additional new gas wells are drilled and from declining reservoir pressures in existing fields. In order to maintain production, the Gas Production companies have to add compressor units or do additional development drilling in order to maintain the gas deliverability to the pipeline networks. Propak has set up this compression division to focus on the packaging and servicing of reciprocating and screw type gas booster machines.
Propak’s approach to the market differs from the traditional suppliers of compression equipment. Not only do we design and fabricate the compression modules, we also build our own gas process coolers, design and build our own control systems as well as performing many other tasks that are normally farmed out to outside contractors adding increased costs to the units. This total responsibility is Propak’s competitive advantage, and allow the company to supply our customers with more value for their purchasing dollar. There are other advantages that in our opinion are just as important, total quality, production scheduling and package systems reliability. All of these features add up to a unique value that will improve project return for our client.
Propak started manufacturing it’s own line of Aerial Cooler units or radiator type units in 1996, which are utilized with gas compression and gas processing units. In 1998 Propak construct approximately 60 aerial coolers units for many different services applications in the gas processing industry. The design of these aerial coolers, has become a significant issue to minimize the noise impact from the fans in the local area of gas processing equipment.
Acid gas compressor units are typically 4-stage variable speed machines, injecting fully condensed H2S & CO2 to a disposal well at 1600-2500 psi.
