Turbo-Expander Process Units
Ethane & LPG Recovery

Propak engineers, manufacturers and constructs Turbo-Expander Process Units which are designed to extract Ethane (C2) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas ( LPG ) from raw natural gas streams. Propak have constructed modular Turbo-Expander Plants, which range from 20 MMSCFD to 350 MMSCFD typically. A Turbo-Expander process unit is typically utilized for high levels of product recovery when ethane or propane are extracted from natural gas or refinery gas streams. The Turbo-Expander process utilizes pressure reduction and complex heat exchangers in order to achieve the cryogenic temperature levels required in the process, which will result in high liquid product recovery levels.

Other systems that may be required for the Processing facility, which are offered by Propak include:

  • Inlet Separation
  • Inlet & Residue Gas Compression
  • Molecular Gas Drying
  • Product Fractionation and Treating of LPG
  • Product Storage
  • Hot Oil Heaters
  • Flare Systems
  • Instrument Air
  • Gas & Liquid Metering
  • Power Generation
  • Motor Control, Process Control & Scada Systems
  • Spare Parts, etc.
