40 MMSCFD Golden Spike, (Alberta, Canada) Sour Gas Treating, Cryogenic Gas Processing Plant

Project Description
A 40 MMSCFD (1,127 X 103m3/d) sour gas sweetening and cryogenic turbo expander plant to produce 33 MMSCFD (930 X 103m3/d) of residue gas, 100 bbls/day (16 m3/d) of stabilized condensate, 2,450 bbls/day (390 m3/d) of ethane plus liquids, and a acid gas stream to injection. The major process equipment includes: inlet separation and stabilization, a combination of inlet, residue and recycle gas compression consisting of two (2) 2,400 HP (1790 kW) @ 1000 RPM Cat model G3608 gas driven engines with model 6HOS4 Dresser Rand compressors, a 315 usgpm (1,190 L/min) Sulfinol gas sweetening process (1.6% H2S & 1.7% CO2), molecular sieve gas dehydration and mercaptan removal unit, turbo expander unit with a demethanizer tower operating at -150º F (-66º C) designed to recover 67% of the ethane and 99% of the propane , one (1) 500 HP (370 kW) VFD electric driven Dresser Rand model 6KDC4 sour gas injection compressor, a 21 MMBTU/hr. (6155 kW) glycol heat medium heater and the associated plant utilities, storage and flaring facilities.
